Halogen Bonding in Conducting or Magnetic Molecular Materials,lometallate anions on the one hand, and polycyanometallateor organic nitrile anions on the other. Iodoperfluoroalkanes or -perfluorarenes can also act as halogenbond donors when associated with neutral nitroxide radicals or with halide anions in cation radical saltsof non-halogenated TTFs.

Halogen-bonded Liquid Crystals,lar, hydrogenbonding is examined, as the two interactions are rather similar as are the molecular components that mightbe used as the acceptor. Low molar mass and polymeric halogen-bonded mesogens are then described and futureprospects are evaluated.
