On the Frequency-Distribution of Spontaneous Cochlear EmissionsThe microphone (B & K 4145) is freely suspended at the entry to the external auditory canal (Fig. 1). While the system should be very sensitive, the entire acoustic output from the auditory canal should be captured rather than a limited section of it.
