This chapter focuses on recent developments, collected from both experimental and clinical settings, regarding both the physiologic and pathophysiologic roles of CO as a regulator of hepatobiliary functions.

Hepatic Iron Accumulation and Incidence of Hepatocellular Carcinoma in Patients with Chronic Hepatinoma (HCC), but no definite relationship has been established.
