Service Differentiation in FAN,The differentiation of quality of service in FANremains a major challenge. This is due to the fact that FAN does not use any signaling, which makes the process of informing nodes about incoming transmissions difficult. This chapter shows how service differentiation can be provided in FAN networks and the capabilities of this architecture.

Summary,Flow-Aware Networking is a promising concept for Future Internet. It is a simple, scalable solution which conforms to the net neutrality paradigm. In this book, we presented detailed descriptions of FAN alongside new algorithms and mechanisms which may improve transmission in this environment.

FAN in Case of Failure,nsmission of all flows accepted in the AC block cannot be broken in a failure-less state. In this chapter, we analyze traffic performance in FAN in the event of a link failure. The main assumption is that streaming flows should be quickly accepted in a link and immediately redirected to a backup link when a failure occurs.
