Wilfried Ferchhoff,Georg Neubauern index in loosest and densest state with respect to variations in the amount of fines and plasticity of fines are presented. Results indicate that there is a significant influence of fines on the properties of sand.

https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-658-24066-0mum percentage, shear strength increases with increase in fibre content. Also the value of strain increases with increase in fibre content. Tests are conducted for both random mix and horizontal mix of fibres. This research concludes that combination of lime and palm fibre is a better stabiliser for ground.

Effect of Plasticity of Fines on Properties of Uniformly Graded Fine Sand,n index in loosest and densest state with respect to variations in the amount of fines and plasticity of fines are presented. Results indicate that there is a significant influence of fines on the properties of sand.
