An Introduction to Charge Quantum Transport in Semiconductors and Numerical Approaches, even though the main theoretical concepts and methods of quantum transport have been developed long ago, they hardly yielded any numerical result to compare with experimental data, owing to the complexity of the mathematics involved and to the lack of clear experimental evidences.

Non-Equilibrium Quantum Dot Transportning potentials. One method for creating these systems is the electrostatic confinement of an existing 2DEG. Unfortunately, electronic transport that reveals quantum size effects in these systems only occurs for low temperatures (<1 .) and voltages near equilibrium (typically of the mV level) (Williamson .., 1990).

Thermal and Shot Noise in Open Conductorsach. The fluctuation dissipation theorem relates the current or voltage fluctuations at equilibrium to linear response transport coefficients. I also discuss the fluctuations of current and voltage away from the average value in the presence of transport. I illustrate these results by discussing conductors which exhibit the quantized Hall effect.

Microwave Studies of Quasi-One Dimensional Wiresxperiments on heterostructure quantum wires the influence of a microwave field on the weak electron localization (WEL) and the universal conductance fluctuations (UCF) was studied (Kuchar ., 1989, 1990).
