Analysis of Trunk and Upper Limb Articular Synergies The results show evidence of new motor strategies and new co-ordinations developed to compensate for the motor impairment. In the future, this method could be applied to gesture recognition and synthesis and for the development of enhanced learning environments in rehabilitation.

HMM-Based Continuous Sign Language Recognition Using Stochastic Grammarsera is used for image recording. The recognition is based on Hidden Markov Models concentrating on manual sign parameters. As an additional component, a stochastic language model is utilised, which considers uni- and bigram probabilities of single and successive signs. The system achieves an accuracy of 95% using a bigram language model
