https://doi.org/10.1007/978-94-015-3331-7the landmark saliency of a feature. Values for these measures are subject to hypothesis tests in order to define and extract landmarks from datasets. The extracted landmarks are then integrated in the wayfinding instructions. A concrete example from the city of Vienna demonstrates the applicability and usefulness of the method.

Allgemeine Bemerkungen zur Methodeof spatial constraints, and it explores three searching algorithms that work over an indexed domain: . forward checking, . forward checking, and . searching. Experimental results show the viability of this type of indexing schema as well as the differences among searching algorithms.
