In particular a mechanism is proposed by which many batches of magma are diverted to form the swarm of intrusive sheets (such as is exposed in S.E.Iceland) which is postulated to constitute crustal layer 3 in Iceland.

,The Reykjanes Ridge — A Summary of Geophysical Data, features, the sediment distribution, and the magnetic anomaly pattern are discussed in their relation to the Icelandic mantle plume. Then the crustal structure from different seismic and earthquake studies is evaluated and compared with gravity models. Finally, the chronological development is briefly outlined.

Crustal Movements in the Myvatn- and in the Thingvallavatn-area, both Horizontal and Vertical,he island, in the Myvatn area. Following in his steps, geodetic and geophysical disciplines co-operated in the project, for only from the analysis of their measurements, such as triangulation or alternatively trilateration, levelling, gravity survey, magnetic survey and seismic survey can reliable statements about movements be made.
