Pharmacogenetic Study in Asthma,riability gene. The pharmacogenetics goal of asthma is to personalize asthma pharmacotherapy and reduce the asthma burden. The present manuscript discusses the coding sequences or regulatory regions of genes that encode proteins involved in asthma pharmacological responses.

Recent studies have found that a large number of asthmatic patients have abnormal miRNA expression, and that miRNA has played a key role in asthma, including in regulating the immune function, airway inflammation, and airway remodeling. Therefore, this article reviews the application of microRNA in asthma.

In this chapter, we review the current literature on the metabolomics studies to gain knowledge of the pathophysiological basis of asthma and find potential metabolic biomarkers associated with this disease, which may help in diagnosis and therapeutic strategies.
