Biochemical and Anatomical Studies of Birch (, Roth) Buds Exposed to Different Climatic Conditions i and lower parts of the stem. Buds from adult material were taken from dormant twigs and at two occasions after flushing. Considerable differences in in vitro growth were obtained due to bud position, stock plant treatment, and growth phase. Correlation between differences in in vitro growth and anatomical/biochemical changes will be discussed.
