Plasmid vectors,erial chromosome. They can also mobilise DNA to which they are not covalently joined and this includes co-existing non-conjugative plasmids. In this Chapter I will trace the modification of several non-conjugative plasmid vectors to give more effective cloning vehicles which can no longer be effectively mobilised during conjugation.
