Hybridization of Somatic Plant Cells: Genetic Analysis,btained from fused animal cells, plant protoplast fusion can be used to recover intact hybrid organisms. Hence, parasexual hybridization of plants is not only a novel way of somatic genetic analysis, but it is becoming an important tool in plant breeding.
