Legislative Frameworks for Equal Opportunities,on in the workforce. Finally, it examines the impact of legislative frameworks on the careers of women within and across these eight countries, with particular attention to occupational segregation, and the reasons for and effects of gender pay equity gaps.

Gender Equality and the Shift from Collegiality to Managerialism,al or the managerial system would be more conducive to gender equality. It is clear that the strength or absence of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action frameworks, as described in Chapter 1, has an impact on gender equality in universities.
