https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-476-05681-8laser (CL) led to a new branch of high power laser. More recent developments which offer high power potential are the free electron laser (FEL) and the excimer laser. This paper summarizes these developments, along with pertinent basic research contributions and indicates current and future directions of Air Force laser research.

Christian K. Bosse,Viola Hellged. The chemical generator has also been used for studying the reaction of 0.(.Δ) with Pb atoms. Both excited Pb atoms and excited PbO molecules have been observed and possible excitation mechanisms have been investigated.

Optical Resonance Transfer Lasers for Mode Controle control, and the ORTL is utilized to convert this radiation to a high quality laser beam. The ORTL output is expected to exhibit diffraction limited performance because none of the traditional causes of medium degradation in lasers (e.g., electric discharges, chemical reactions, supersonic flow) are present in the ORTL system.
