Aquatic Mites from Genes to Communitiesmes large, it is found that the volcano effect is more enhanced and furthermore, unexpectedly, different types of pattern formation (i.e., standing and traveling bands) arise at very large adaptation times. The physical relevance and the mathematical mechanism of the new pattern formation should be further investigated in a future study.
