L-Glutamate Decarboxylase Immunoreactivity in the Sympathoadrenal Systemcently, immunohistochemical methods [14, 15, 24–28, 34, 35, 38, 44, 57, 58]. Studies have now been carried out in order to investigate the expression and distribution of GAD in the developing sympathoadrenal system and to further analyze the presence and localization of GAD in different parts of the sympathetic nervous system.

The Origin and Development of Bridges, work suggest that GABAergic innervation of the liver not only exists, but may play an important role in regulating hepatic development and function. The purpose of this review will be to discuss the results of the past decade of research regarding GABA in the liver and, in the process, identify specific directions that future research might take.

Neurotransmitter Amino Acids as Modulators of Biological Processes of Spermatozoaf the male accessory glands, and in the oviduct and uterus. Interestingly, the most abundant amino acids in these tissue fluids are those which are known to function as neurotransmitters in the central nervous system (CNS).
