Generating configuration expert systems from conceptual specifications of the expert knowledge,nts and compiles it into an executable expert system which can immediately be evaluated and used. KONFGEN-II is currently being implemented on the basis of the distributed production system MAGSY [10] and the constraint satisfaction system YACSS [5].
