Some Characteristics of in Vitro Erythroid Colony and Burst-Forming Unitshe ERC seem to be more differentiated than the pluripotent hemopoietic cell population (CFU-s) detected by the . spleen colony assay (3, 12). This population of target cells of EP is apparently a class of progenitor cells with a role in hemopoietic differentiation quite similar to that of the . myeloid colony-forming cells (CFU-c).

Colony-Forming Unit, Megakaryote (CFU-m): Its Use in Elucidating the Kinetics and Humoral Control oftion; and (c) capable of cellular proliferation—including endoreduplication of DNA to produce polyploid cells at various ploidy levels—in addition to cell mitosis. Ultimately, of course, these progenitors must be derived through differentiation or “commitment” of pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells by a process we do not presently understand.

Bibliothek des Radio Amateurs (geschlossen)ranulocytopoiesis can usually be demonstrated following leukemoid reactions, regardless of the stimulus. Techniques for the reproducible quantitation of meaningful parameters of granulocytopoiesis have not been available in the past.
