The Electrical and Optical Properties of Rapidly Exploded WiresA series of experiments has been performed on exploding small wires in times less than 10. sec with peak specific power levels between 5 · 10. and 2 · 10. w/mol. The processes occurring in the wire prior to and during the explosion process have been studied.

The Use of Exploding Wires in the Study of Small-Scale Underwater ExplosionsGreater similarity in certain aspects to an underwater nuclear explosion is achieved by using a submerged exploding wire than with conventional chemical explosives.
