Decision Support Systems: A Discipline or a Vision?, come to the conclusion that the problem area of DSS cannot be regarded as a discipline. A conclusion that is valid for nearly all fields studying parts of organizational processes. Suggestions are given how to define the process of decision-making as a separate field of study.
