The Segmental-Transmission-Line: Its Design and Prototype Evaluation wave form on the line by solving a combinatorial explosion problem using genetic algorithm. In our previous papers, we have shown fundamental effectiveness of the STL on the computer simulation already. In this paper, we fabricate an STL prototype using a real PCB and demonstrate its effectiveness based on the prototype.

Norma Huss,Sandra Schiller,Matthias Schmidtses significantly less fitness evaluations than a standard genetic algorithm on all four tested fitness functions. Positive contribution of each component of the proposed algorithm has been confirmed with a series of supplementary ablation experiments.

Features of IDOE are demonstrated by inferring models of a simple hidden system containing geometric shapes that are further optimized according to a target value. Simulated experiments indicate that the fitness of the IDOE approach is generally higher than the average fitness of DOE.
