Using Negative Correlation to Evolve Fault-Tolerant Circuitsess, the circuits evolve towards different, highly fault-tolerant circuits. The measure also proves very useful for fitness sharing purposes. We have evolved a number of circuits for a simple 2x3 multiplier problem, and use these to demonstrate the performance under different simulated fault models.

Developmental Effects on Tuneable Fitness Landscapestical properties of the landscapes are analysed, and the performance of a standard GA on the different landscapes is compared. The analysis is aimed at identifying the influence of the properties by which the landscapes differ. The results and their implications for the design of computational development models are discussed.

Evolvable Fuzzy System for ATM Cell Scheduling. With evolvable fuzzy system (EFS), the system undergoes transformation in response to changes in the cell patterns in order to maintain operational efficiency. We envisage that such a system is potentially useful for demanding real-time dynamic control applications.
