Jürgen R. Dietrich,Thomas Heinz Meitinger defined by sea level anomalies at Mera, Oshima, and Kozu islands. The EOF 2nd mode implied wind-driven current. Higher modes indicated dipole modes (North–South or East–West) and eddy-like mode. Consequently, three or more patterns for surface currents were found in Sagami Bay.
