Thermodynamische Betrachtungen,that are briefly introduced in this chapter. These include chapters on the development and history of NOW, on its contents and management, or that make use of NOW data to address particular research questions from paleoecology and paleobiogeography to macroevolution.

Epictetus Philosopher-Therapistld and New World equids differed in their pattern of Miocene locality occupancy: New World localities commonly contained three to five equids while Old World ones contained one to two. Numbers of equids per locality declined in both areas in the latest Miocene along with decline in species diversity, likely related to climatic cooling and drying.
