It is divided into five main sections, starting with an introduction to PET and meta-analysis. In turn, the second part addresses evidence-based PET in oncology, providing a broad overview of its use for different types of tumours. The remaining sections are focused on the use of PET in cardiology, in infectious and inflammatory diseases, and in neurology, respectively...Given its scope and the wealth of information it provides, the book will be an invaluable tool for clinicians with various specialties, as well as international scientific societies interested to the recent evidence-based data about PET..

Feed Evaluation, Past and Present,umours, (3) gynaecological tumours. Several pooled data (diagnostic and prognostic data), clinical settings (e.g. staging, restaging, treatment evaluation) and radiotracers as fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (.F-FDG), radiolabelled choline and prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) were considered.

Evidence-Based PET for Brain Tumoursdard neuroimaging method used for diagnosis of brain tumours, for performing stereotactic biopsy and surgical planning in neuro-oncology [2]. Currently, hybrid imaging techniques as PET/CT and PET/MRI, providing a combination of both functional and morphological information, may be useful methods for early diagnosis of brain tumours [1, 2].
