Numerical Modeling of Suspended Sediment Dynamics in the Weser Estuary brackish water zone, internal waves as well as mixing due to structures like bridges etc. The relative significance of the different processes mentioned is mainly dependent on hydrodynamic factors (tidal range, fresh water flow-rate, etc.), the density-stratification (gradients of salinity, temperature, etc.) and the presence of organic material.
