Differentiation of Epidermal Keratinocytes from Human Embryonic Stem Cells,ed activin as the main factor to induce keratinocyte differentiation. H9-Kert. expressed keratinocyte markers at mRNA and protein levels. Establishment of such animal-free microenvironment for keratinocyte differentiation will accelerate potential clinical application of hESCs.

A Novel Three-Dimensional Cell Culture Method to Analyze Epidermal Cell Differentiation In Vitro, and cell–matrix interactions. Analyzing cell behaviors during epidermal differentiation would be helpful. Our method would help to analyze a possible regulatory mechanism underlying epidermal differentiation.
