Will “environmental” be replaced by “extrasensory”? complexity of environmental issues are discussed in the paper as well as approaches of university undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in this area. The conclusion presented is that the future depends on the ability of environmental science and technology to provide solutions to environmental problems.

What Would a Reusable Meteorology Component for Environmental Models Look Like weather events. The structure and the behaviour of the component are displayed using ‘Unified Modelling Language’ (UML) [2] with class and sequence diagrams. Some advantages of the approach are platform independence, robustness, small size, user friendliness and the availability of a large range of past and future meteorology data.
