Natural magnetic minerals, is an important constituent of the majority of rocks found at the Earth’s surface. Along with the commonest crustal metal, aluminium, it combines with the two most plentiful crustal elements, oxygen and silicon, to build up many of the common rock-forming minerals (Table 3.1).
