On What Can Be Explained by the Entropy of a Channel Network for the channel network entropy proposed in this paper is well suited for hydrologic purposes. By analyzing a river network (and related sub-networks) of an Italian basin with surface area of 123 km., it is shown that the network entropy is strictly related to basin characteristics such as average elevation, Horton order, and magnitude.
