Object-Relational Mapping,y 1990s saw the emergence of object databases as an ideal counterpart for the up-and-coming object-oriented and object-based languages. In theory, it seemed like a no-brainer because object-oriented languages create and manipulate objects; what better place to store those objects’ states than in a database that’s specialized for that purpose?
