Assessing the Ability of Different Types of Loads to Participate in Adaptive Load Managementible loads days ahead of consumption, and adjusting the energy consumption of some loads in near real time. Specific examples of the loads on both Flores and S?o Miguel are also given, along with detailed descriptions of the numeric values of the loads and their ability to adjust to system conditions or price.

The balancing objective is achieved by ramping the slow generation resources from their scheduled dispatch, thereby minimizing the need for fast regulation reserves.

Module 5: Working on Ourselves,reduced significantly, which has obvious economic advantages. The most important conclusion from this work is that the total emission due to transport and electricity generation in an aggressive wind and solar penetration scenario can be reduced by as much as 85% compared to the current generation mix and a diesel powered fleet of vehicles.
