How Professional Societies Support Engineering Education: Pre-University Teachers and Their Studentof study. Many engineering societies have developed programmes and activities that support and promote engineering as a programme of study and career choice among pre-university teachers, their students, and the public. Several examples of how engineering societies are delivering programmes and activities in this area are discussed.

How Professional Societies Support Engineering Education: Informal Education,s and the public with teaching and learning opportunities in STEM that are locally relevant, promote engagement among participants and reflect the local culture. This chapter will concentrate on the efforts of two engineering societies and their education programmes and activities in collaboration with science and technology museums.
