Engineered Biochar as Adsorbent for Removal of Emerging Contaminants from Aqueous and Soil Mediumon of the adsorbents and the different approaches that can be followed to enhance biochar sorption capacity for ECs. A description of the main challenges in designing the biochar properties for its multifunctional application as adsorbent is also discussed.
