Suppressing Peak Load at Simultaneous Demand of Electric Heating in Residential Areas achieved at the expense of only a small decrease of comfort. This allows the usage of smaller load transformer units, reduces grid losses and benefits the lifetime of medium and low voltage transmission cables.

Working toward a common standard this paper presents the IEC/EN standards for data exchange between Smart Meters and devices.
