In this chapter, a generic methodology is proposed comprising nonlinear system identification and optimal model-based design of experiments (DoE) of battery cells, which can be used for battery module modeling and accurate SoC estimation during operation.

Results for BMS in Non-Road Vehicles,r, the proposed concepts and methodologies are validated using measurements from real battery cells with different cell chemistries as well as a battery module. The battery module is established with battery cells, which are separately available to be investigated with cell measurements.
