High Efficiency PM Motor with Outer Rotor Construction: a Valid Alternative to a Conventional Motor efficient than induction motors because of their inherent excitation. Taking a pure technical view only the difficulties to reduce the flux in the idling state or in the flux weak-ening region are drawbacks which could be decisive towards the choice of an in-duction motor when efficiency is the major requirement.
