Overview,Barrier lake is formed by both internal causes that the geology and geomorphology of river valley and the hydrodynamics of riverbed create the conditions of landslide and collapse and external causes that the sudden earthquake, precipitation, volcanic eruption and large-scale excavation trigger the landslide and collapse to plug the river.
