The acquired concentration profiles nevertheless allow to determine cation interdiffusion coefficients in the temperature range from 987 °C to 1175 °C. The activation enthalpy for interdiffusion can be calculated assuming an Arrhenius-type relation.

https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-319-77577-7s. The samples consist of CeO. substrates with a thin film of Sm.O. and Gd.O., respectively, deposited on the substrates. CeO. substrates with low porosity and impurity concentration were fabricated from high-purity CeO. powder.
