Deep Inelastic Scattering,st experiments at SLAC probed the structure of the nucleon to within a resolution of about 1/50 of the nucleon radius, while with a colliding beam machine one could hope in principle to achieve an order of magnitude smaller, though in practice the low event rate will be a severe limitation.
