Sudipendra Nath Roy,Tuhin Senguptad used as received. Water was purified in a Millipore Direct-Q System for the application in electrolytes. Aluminum plates (99.99%) were supplied by SmartMembranes. For planar substrates, Si (100) wafers covered with an oxide layer were purchased from Silicon Materials Inc.
