Electrochemical Sensors and Detectors with Renewable Electrode Surfaces, active area. An increase in the signal is sometimes observed if metals with low overvoltage of hydrogen evolution are deposited or if the electrode surface is increased by corrosion (often observed with carbon electrodes).
