A Simple Model of a Diaphragm-Type Chlorine Cell, ratio of the electrolyte filled diaphragm relative to the electrolyte (1). It is shown theoretically that the product of N.t and the diaphragm thickness (the “effective” diaphragm thickness, N.t) is actually the important diaphragm characterizing parameter and not N. or the diaphragm thickness separately.

Shunt Current Control in Electrochemical Systems Theoretical Analysis, to development of electrical methods for elimination of the shuntage effects. Passage of appropriate currents through the common electrolyte will null the voltage gradients which normally would produce shuntage.

Flooding Phenomenon of Cryogenic Liquids, sulfosuccinate and zinc electrodes. If, now, both ions react at the electrodes, the potential difference should increase with time in most cases. When it decreases, the decrease is not pronounced. Moreover, then the potential difference decreases only up to a certain time after which it increases with time.
