Gallium Phthalocyanine Thin Films Studied by Electroabsorption,e escape from the solid, the electrons remain in the solid. Photoconductivity can be observed by applying a field on such a solid. Positive holes, which remain after an electron is ejected, can also contribute to the conduction.

Dye-Doped Liquid Crystal for Real-Time Holography,ng optical storage, readout, and erasure capabilities. We discuss the hologram recording mechanism in this system which is different from already known ones for liquid crystals and compare it with mechanisms elaborated for photorefractive polymers and crystals. We show examples of application of liquid crystals for a real-time holography purposes.

A Systematic Review of the Literature, mechanism is used for studying photoconductivity and luminescence of poly (.-phenylene vinylene) (PPV) thin films. Evidences are obtained on the role played by polaron_pairs in processes of free charge carrier generation under photoexcitation and in electroluminescence, excited by recombination of injected charge carriers.
