GadonneixThe braking function fulfills three tasks: It serves to reduce the speed of the vehicle (i.e. decelerates it more rapidly than the effect of ubiquitous friction alone), it helps to control the vehicle’s speed when traveling downhill, and it keeps the vehicle at rest when it is stopped or parked.
