,Econometric Modeling — Extensions,heterogeneity or as models for selectivity. Unobserved heterogeneity reflects a lack of observability of independent variables, whereas selectivity reflects limits in the observability of the dependent variable. Hybrid models exist as well. A third category of models addresses endogeneity of the regressors.

Bayesian Analysis of Count Variables,al complexities that in the past made the Bayesian analysis of count data models appear unattractive. However, increased computer power now allows for fast evaluation of posterior distributions by simulation methods. The basic approaches to Bayesian inference by simulation are discussed in this chapter.
