https://doi.org/10.1057/9781137426024investigated. The sequence of deformation mechanisms during movement over a ramp is discussed. It is also found that this kind of frictional model is suitable to represent the rate-dependent behavior of fault slipping due to the movement over a ramp and the tractions on fault interface for treating the low frictional problem of fault-bend folds.
