Russian Soft Landers, Orbiters, and Rovers,ed the samples to earth; and spacecraft that orbited the moon. Lunar roving vehicles were also soft-landed on the moon. Driven from earth, these vehicles conducted sophisticated scientific experiments during lengthy sorties on the lunar surface.

The photography operation of each mission was also largely successful. Resolution of some of the photographs was as fine as 1 meter (3.28 feet).

How Much Are Your Customers Worth?,ed spacecraft into earth orbit, then setting it on a trajectory to orbit the moon. An independent spacecraft with two astronauts aboard was detached from the orbiting vehicle and made a soft landing on the moon.
