With these methods the interaction between voluntary and involuntary movements can be quantified.

,Tremor and electrically elicited long-latency reflexes in early stages of Parkinson’s disease,ly PD; secondly the combination of resting and postural tremor is rather common in early PD. Enhancement of long-latency reflexes at the clinically unaffected side may be found suggesting that this can be an early electrophysiological sign of the disease.

r slowing in D can be explained by central motivational deficits. Terminology of bradyphrenia as well as dopaminergic and/or noradrenergic dysfunctions being the possible neurochemical basis of this cognitive deficits are discussed.

Context and Perspective of the Study,f age-corrected normal data. We found significant differences between patients and controls in the different subtests of our battery. To interpret the multidimensional test in its entirety we used discriminant-analysis, which gave an excellent distinction between patients and controls.

density of dopamine D. receptors is essentially unchanged compared to age-matched controls. On the other hand in neurodegenerative conditions accompanied by parkinsonism both “pre-” and “post-synaptic” binding of tracers seem to be impaired.
